AAUW’s Mission Statement emphasizes equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.
We have undertaken many mission-based programs since our founding in 1902, including events, grants, sponsorships, scholarships, fellowships, donations, cooperation with other organizations with similar missions, and of course direct participation by our members in dozens of mission-related actions.
