Monthly Programs

Afternoon and Evening Programs 2024 -2025

Branch programs are usually scheduled for the third Wednesday of the
month with an 11:30 a.m. lunch ($18) followed by the program (free) at
12:30 p.m. and held at the Ann Arbor City Club (1830 Washtenaw Avenue).
Time and place exceptions are noted below. Most branch programs are open to the general public. You do not need to be a member of AAUW to attend the program. If you are a member, you can see videos of previous branch programs in the Members Only section of the website.

AAUW-AA Open House: Celebrating 122 Years!

Evening 7 – 8:30 PM

Welcome from President-Elect and President with overview of year. All
members and guests are welcome. Members new to AAUW join at a reduced
rate. Interest Group and Mission Project Chairs explain their programs,
including contact information. Book Sale co-chairs present preliminary
report on funds raised at the recent 2024 Book Sale and plans for 2025.

Gender Disparities in Work-Family Conflict and Mental Health

Dr. Elena Frank is a member of the research faculty in the Michigan Neuroscience Institute and Director in the Intern Health Study at the University of Michigan. Dr. Frank’s research focuses on gender disparities in mental health and career outcomes among medical trainees and early career physicians, including work-family factors and experiences of sexual harassment.

Stacie Sheldon, Principal Consultant and Cofounder of Ojibwe.net, a
cultural repository seeking to preserve and advocate for the indigenous
language, Anishinaabemowin. This cyber space was created so ancient
sounds are not lost and can be connected to anyone willing to make an
effort to maintain our language.
